No other capital city feels less like a capital than Oslo.

With a population of less than 600,000 people it hardly stands out as the most crowded place, but it is the nature that surrounds the city that truly makes this place special.

Within 15 minutes drive from the centre of Oslo, you can find yourself in wild nature, on the beach or in the mountains.

Ski resorts within the city boundaries makes Oslo a great city break – and skiing holiday at the same time. You can even take the tube (called t-bane in Norwegian) all the way to the ski lifts!

Despite its size, Oslo is definitely cosmopolitan. Following in the footsteps of its big brothers, Stockholm and Copenhagen, nightlife and culture is hip and urban.

In the summer, the bars and restaurants along the waterfront fills up with people drinking beer, enjoying the views of the great Oslo Fjord.
