Hours away from wettest September on record

So far the autumn has been a wet one for people in Tromso.

At the end of the measuring period September rainfall was only a 1.5mm from the record from 2003. That record stands at a soaking wet 211.3mm of rain.

“We registered another 1,7mm in the following hour – so it was a close call”, Stein-Erik Øines at The Norwegian Meteorological Institute in Tromso told nordlys.no.

The weather feels very autumnal in Tromso at the moment, and the first snow seems right around the corner.

The weather forecast does not rule out snow in the coming days, but it looks brighter towards the weekend.
