BA Strike to Hit Holiday TravellersThousands of holidaymakers face chaos and delays as 92,5 percent of British Airways staff vote for a Christmas strike.Unless a last minute agreement is made, airline staff will walk out between the 22nd December and 2nd of January.
The dates in question are the busiest of the year for people travelling home to see friends and family.
Dissapointed BossesBA bosses say to the BBC they think the union’s move is cynical.
“I am first and foremost very dissapointed in Unite for planning a massive strike which will harm thousands of customers over Christmas and New Year,” British Airways Head of Northern Europe, Peter Rasmussen told Dagbladet.
He says he understands the employees’ frustrations, but that the though economic climate requires extraordinary measures.
“We see the announced 12-day strike as completely unreasonable, and an overreaction to the changes proposed to the cabin crew.”
